About the Artisan FX Raiden

The Artisan FX Raiden is a high-speed gaming mouse pad designed around extremely fast, smooth and low-friction mouse movement.

The Raiden is the fastest cloth surface in Artisan’s range. Its silky-smooth texture allows the mouse to move with very little resistance, making quick movements and direction changes feel effortless while still supporting smaller micro-adjustments.

Unlike mouse pads that use a rough or heavily textured surface, the Raiden achieves its speed with a smooth cloth surface. This gives it a distinctive combination of very high speed and a silky surface feel.

The Raiden is particularly suited to players who already know that they prefer speed, low resistance and effortless mouse movement.

Smooth, High-Speed Surface

The defining characteristic of the Raiden is its fast, smooth cloth surface.

Its low-friction design reduces resistance as the mouse moves across the pad, helping fast and snappy movements feel more natural. The smooth texture also provides a consistent surface feel as the mouse changes direction.

This makes the Raiden particularly well suited to players who prioritise fast movement and tracking or who use higher mouse sensitivities.

SOFT Base

This version of the Artisan Raiden uses the SOFT base, which provides a moderately cushioned feel underneath the playing surface.

SOFT allows some compression when pressure is applied while remaining firmer than Artisan’s XSOFT base. Artisan describes SOFT as a highly versatile firmness that is compatible with a wide range of aiming styles.

The combination of the Raiden surface and SOFT base provides the speed and smooth glide of the Raiden together with a moderate amount of cushioning underneath the surface.

XL Size

The XL Artisan Raiden measures 490 × 420 mm and is 4 mm thick with the SOFT base.

The XL size provides a large usable gaming area for both broad mouse movements and smaller adjustments without moving to the deeper dimensions of Artisan’s XXL format.

Artisan identifies XL as its recommended mouse pad size, making it a practical choice for a wide range of gaming setups.
