About the Artisan FX Zero

The Artisan FX Zero is a control-focused gaming mouse pad designed to combine high stopping power with a responsive initial glide. Its textured cloth surface provides noticeable feedback during mouse movement while maintaining the balance and consistency that have made the Zero one of Artisan’s most popular surfaces.

Artisan places the Zero in its Low-Speed category. Rather than simply creating resistance, the surface is designed to provide a sharp initial movement together with strong stopping ability. This gives the Zero a controlled feel while still allowing the mouse to start moving easily when making quick adjustments.

The Zero is a versatile choice for players who value control, stopping power and surface feedback without wanting their mouse movement to feel excessively restricted.

SOFT Base

This version of the Artisan Zero uses the SOFT base, which provides a moderately cushioned feel underneath the playing surface.

SOFT allows some compression when pressure is applied while remaining firmer than Artisan’s XSOFT base. Artisan describes SOFT as a highly versatile firmness and recommends it as an all-round option.

The combination of the Zero surface and SOFT base creates a balanced setup for players who want the control characteristics of the Zero together with a moderate amount of cushioning.

XL Size

The XL Artisan Zero measures 490 × 420 mm and is 4 mm thick with the SOFT base.

This provides a large usable surface for both low- and high-sensitivity gaming while retaining a conventional rectangular mouse pad format. Artisan identifies XL as its recommended size, making it a popular choice for gaming setups where a full desk mat is not required.

Who Is the Artisan Zero SOFT For?

The Artisan FX Zero SOFT is well suited to players who:

• Prefer a controlled mouse glide with strong stopping power
• Want a responsive initial movement rather than an excessively slow feel
• Like some texture and feedback from their mouse pad surface
• Prefer a moderately cushioned base
• Want a versatile Artisan surface suitable for a wide range of games and aiming styles
• Are looking for an Artisan mouse pad that balances control and ease of movement

Artisan Quality and Construction

Artisan mouse pads are manufactured in Japan with particular attention to the playing surface, base and edge finishing.

The Zero uses a 100% polyester cloth surface together with Artisan’s specialised base construction. The edges are stitched to help create a clean transition between the playing surface and the edge of the pad.

This product combines the Artisan Zero surface, SOFT base, XL size and Black color.
