This straight TRRS connector is a 4-pole, 3.5mm gold-plated connector. It consists of two parts, namely the shell and the connector. When you remove the shell from the connector, you will find four solder points for your wires to be soldered on. When using our USB cable, you can twist the shielding and drain wire together and use this instead of the black wire for your cable’s ground. If you are using the shielding and drain wire for your cable’s ground, you can cut off the black wire. We suggest using either heatshrink or electrical tape to insulate the power and two data wire’s solder points. You will have to be very careful not to use up too much space in this area, as it will make it difficult to screw on the shell afterward.
